Aisha( RA) Mother of the believers-Ummahatul Mu'mineen
Aisha( RA) Mother of the believers-Ummahatul Mu'mineen
Aisha (RA) was the youngest among the wives of Prophet (SAW).She was the daughter of Abu Bakr (RA) and Umm Rooman (RA).Abu Bakr (RA) was Nabi (saw)'s intimate friend,he supported him with his wealth and was one of the first ones to believe in the message of Islam. When Prophet (saw) married Aishah(RA) she was a very young girl. Aishah's(Ra) personality was greatly influenced by her mother Umm Rooman(Ra).
She has narrated over 2000 hadith during her lifetime. Her character was pure and kind. She was very wise too.
In Seerah books we can read about how Nabi(Saw) played games with her. She had gone through many trials during her lifetime. She had become a victim of slander. Aisha(Ra) had gone on a journey with Nabi(saw).A necklace of hers was left behind, when they had stopped and she went to get it. When she returned the carawan had already left. She slept off and Safwan(Ra) found her and they went ahead. After they reached Madinah ,she fell ill. When she was not well, few hypocrites made rumors about Aishah(ra) and Safwan(Ra).
It was only after verses were revealed to prove her innocence that even Nabi(Saw) spoke to her properly. During this time she was filled with grief but placed her trust (Tawwakul) only on Allah.
Aishah(RA) spent nine years in the Prophet's(saw) house. She was his beloved wife. Their relationship was full of understanding, knowledge, wisdom and honesty.
Whenever a hadith was unclear to the Sahabah (May the peace and blessings of Allah be on them all) they asked Aishah(ra) about it.
Aishah(ra)'s Apartment
It is the room that shelters the Prophet's (saw) grave and noble body. It is the only room of his wives that still exists .It was in her room that Nabi(saw) wished to be nursed when he was not well. Abu Bakr (ra) and Umar(ra) were buried there too. Her father had asked her to do so. Later when Umar(RA) was stabbed, he sought permission of Aishah(ra) to be buried there. She showed humility and compassion and allowed him in.
The Mother of the Faithful ,Aishah(ra) was increased in honour and greatness for she used to say:"before Umar(ra) was buried there, it was only my husband and father" but after Umar(ra) was buried there" I no longer enter the room except with my garment fastened, because I have always been shy of Umar(ra) s presence.
Here I had like to pause a moment and talk about the chastity of our predecessors, they were so careful in implementing what Allah and His messenger (saw) said .The ladies were so careful of maintaining their hijabs.
Allah has even mentioned in the Qur'an that When asking something to the Mother of the believers, they should do so from behind a veil as it is purer for them.
Aishah (ra) died in the month of Ramadhan in 58 H. Sources say she was sixty six years old.She was buried the same night in Al Baqee.
