It was my parents 40th anniversary.As I look back so many beautiful memories rush to my mind.We children have a lot to learn from them.The zest ,zeal and enthusiasm with which they deal with life is amazing.When most couples would just retire from their jobs and routine activities too,they prefer to remain engaged in doing things they enjoy.

As soon as Dad and mom got married they settled in Saudi Arabia. Mom's family was already there since few years.The very next year my brother was born.Daddy was working in Riyadh Bank.He worked there for many years.Four years later I was born.Dad got a transfer to the Riyadh branch and we were there for many years.Mummy was a homemaker.She was a good student at school and after marriage,dad encouraged her to study.She didn't want to, as we were small at the time.She spend her time taking care of us,cooking yummy dishes ,sewing and teaching us .

We kids were like Tom and Jerry-fighting all the time.Dad and mom had to intervene to stop us.When my brother reached 8th grade he  wanted to study in a boarding school in Kerala .There were very little activities for boys in Saudi in those days.So my parents took admission for him in Kerala.It was very tough for us to stay apart from him.After he left I used to cry every day due to boredom. 

We shifted our flat and dad got a computer for me.I then spend my time playing computer games.When I reached 8th grade ,our school brought about election system to elect members of the school management. Dad was socially active and was a member and president of many associations. Dad was elected into the school management comittee and he also became the chairman. He got busier and mom was lonely as I was also busy with studies.When I was in 10th grade ,my younger brother was born-a little cherub.After completion of my school ,I left to join college.

Later my parents and younger brother shifted to Qatar.They were in Kerala also for sometime.

My parents worked hard to give us the best of everything. They got us married to good families too.Now they are blessed with 7 grandchildren by God's grace.Masha Allah tabarakallah. 

May Allah grant this lovely couple Afiyah,togetherness and the best in both worlds..Ameen

My younglings

 I was thinking 🤔 of the topic for my next blog when I thought it should be about children. Children are a trust(Amanah) placed on us by our Lord and given to us for a destined time.Nobody gets to choose parents.All babies are born with Fitrah(natural inclination),pure.Then it is the family ofcourse who bring up their children with certain values,morals etc. We live in a world where some have children and some don't ,that again is ofcourse the will of God. Babyhood-A child is born.He/she is given a name and cared for as they are completely dependent.Slowly they start to smile,recognize and explore the world around them. Some personal experiences-  Shaza was born,she was the first granddaughter on both sides too.She was basically a quiet baby,who didn't create much trouble for me.
