My motherhood journey

 


My matrescence was during the age of 23.I was still in college doing my UG .It was joyful between the stress of college life.I took leave when I started feeling tired .Then our Shaza was born.I went back to continue my studies when she was around 5 months.

After my course we went back home to join her dad.The initial years were filled with excitement and ups and downs of how a new mother would feel especially when so many advise on many things of what to feed the child,diaper or cloth napkin etc.Her dad was busy with work and studies and sometimes had night shifts.Me and Shaza used to spend time doing things we enjoyed,like watching her favourite shows or mine,making chains,bracelets etc. 

Then when she joined play school,I did a course.Then Amani came along,Shaza had started her Kg.So then I was balancing my roles in teaching Shaza, sending her to school and taking care of baby Amani.

Later when Amani was 2 ,I joined as a teacher in Shaza's school.After sometime I resigned,later Liyana was born.We then moved to UAE,Amani too started school,since kids had different dispersal times,I had to go twice to pick them from the bus,with little Liyana.Sometimes she would be sleeping.

Then came along Aiman,he was born during the peak COVID time.So it was a time of managing baby Aiman and his sisters online classes etc. Then he too started school and I got a breather.

The kids grew,and I too with them juggling between the joys and struggles of motherhood.Of course it is no easy task nurturing kids but it comes with a package of love,laughter,tears, tantrums etc.Alhamdulillah for my soul mate by my side to understand and always ready to help.

Now we miss the times when they were tinier but are grateful to God for have given us four.

 I was thinking 🤔 of the topic for my next blog when I thought it should be about children.                         Middle age crisis - Middle age is the time when you are almost settled in life, basically it is the time from your youth to old age. But you start getting feelings of regret,your self confidence is affected and you may feel less valued Both men and women go through this,but studies show that women face more issues,be it psychological or physical.It is the reproductive period of a woman 's life,where she may experience perimenopausal symptoms, sometimes irritability,fatigue etc.It is also a time when your children are either growing up,grown up and your parents are ageing.Hence it is the peak time of responsibilities. DAUGHTERS ARE GEMS💎💎

  Daughters are gems. Don't get me wrong, sons are gems too. I chose this topic because of the misogyny which still exists. It is such a shame that girls and women are still not given the respect they deserve. How can man be so prejudiced against women when she is the reason for your existence. So many people still blame ladies for having daughters without knowing that it is the father's chromosome that is responsible for the gender of the baby. Dislike for daughters has been prevelant since the early times. In Asian countries ladies are divorced for having daughters, primitive arabs used to even bury their daughters alive because they thought girls would bring shame to the family. In some communities people don't want girls because they have to give dowry during the time of marriage.
